In short
To put an HTML page online, upload it to a static site host. At Syli Labs: create a free account, choose “I already have the files” and drag in your index.html file. A few seconds later, your page has an https address you can share.
What you need
- Your page, in a file ending in
.html; - an email address to create the account;
- five minutes. No bank card, nothing to install.
Your file must be called index.html
When someone opens your address, the browser looks for a page named index.html. If your file is called home.html or Final page (2).html, rename it before you start.
Does your page show images or use a style file? Put them in the same folder, then compress the folder into a .zip.

The 4 steps
Create your free account
Enter your email address on sylilabs.com. You get a six-digit code: type it in, that’s all. No password to remember.
Choose “I already have the files”
Tap New site. You’re asked how you want to create your site: keep the first option.
Drag in your file
Drag
index.html(or your.zip) into the box, or tap the box to pick it on your phone. Give your site a name: it will be used in the address.Your page is online
Your address appears. Copy it and send it by WhatsApp, by email or on social media. The https padlock is already there.
Change your page later
Just upload the new version of the file. It first opens in a private preview that only you can see. When you’re happy with it, tap Publish: your visitors see the new page. Made a mistake? One button brings back the previous version.
Get your own address (my-business.com)
The address Syli Labs gives you is free. To use your own domain name, switch to the Pro plan (€10 per month): you copy two lines at the company where you bought your domain, and we take care of the rest. Not sure what a domain is? Read Domain, hosting, DNS.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The Free plan accepts as many static pages and sites as you want, within a limit on visits and storage per account. That’s more than enough for a personal page, a CV, an invitation or a small business site.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free, with no time limit?
Yes. Static sites (HTML and CSS files, images) stay free. You only pay if you want your own domain name or a site that needs a server.
Will people find my page on Google?
Yes, once Google has discovered it, which can take a few days. To help: give your page a clear title (the <title> tag), a short description, and share the link.
My file isn’t called index.html. What do I do?
Rename it before you upload it. If you only have one .html file, we offer to rename it for you.
Can I put several pages online?
Yes. Put all your pages in one folder, with index.html as the home page, and upload the .zip. Links between pages work just like on your computer.
What if my page has a contact form?
A static page can’t send email on its own. Use an online form service, or a simple WhatsApp or “Send an email” button.
I have a WordPress site. Is it the same?
No: WordPress needs a server and a database. It works with the Pro plan.
